About the Speaker :
Yasmine Mohamed is a natural when it comes to engaging people and communities where it matters most: Spirituality, Wellness, Relationships and Personal Development. She is well known as a community advocate for Women’s Rights, nonprofit charities and masjids, empowering youth, women, men and families alike with Islamic Awareness & educating all communities on their rights and roles in Islam while breaking misconceptions and common stereotypes.
Yasmine was awarded with the IKON Award representing Canada in Malaysia for her contribution in Community Building, Charity & raising Islamic Awareness in the Canadian education system across Canada.
Yasmine has an Honours Degree in French and Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University and is currently completing 2 more degrees in Islamic Studies and Psychology with the International Open University. She continues to travel to study extensively with scholars from around the world over the past 12 years, that include but not limited to Yaqeen, AlMaghrib and AlKauthar Institutes.
She has more than 10 years experience as a crisis counsellor for both a Muslim Women’s Helpline and a Youth Helpline. She provides Islamic Spiritual Counseling throughout Western and Central Ontario regions while working with shelters, helplines, families, couples, teens and individuals.

She strives to empower more people to think inclusively of our community’s needs; to work together for greater change, and to build more happy families by building positive individuals. By the Grace and Will of Allah swt alone, not one separated marriage that she has counselled in the past 12 years has ended in divorce, Alhamdulilah, Mash Allah.
She counsels clients with in-person and telephone therapy sessions saving marriages, building self-esteem & helping individuals, teens and couples in all their relationships, with a specific Islamic spiritual focus.
